Hadi Kiani is a Barrister & Solicitor, called to the Bar of Ontario.

His practice is devoted to constitutional law and international law, with a focus on matters involving public authority, fundamental rights and freedoms, democratic governance, treaty interpretation, human rights, and the relationship between Canadian law and the international legal order.

Hadi’s legal work is guided by the belief that constitutional law is central to the protection of a free and democratic society, while international law plays an increasingly important role in addressing legal issues that extend beyond national borders.Beginning in September 2026, Hadi will pursue a Master of Laws (LL.M.) at the University of Edinburgh, one of the world’s most respected centres of legal scholarship.

His graduate studies reflect a continuing commitment to advanced legal research, public law, constitutional analysis, and international legal principles.

Hadi earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Western University, where he also completed a Master of Arts (M.A.) in Media Theory and an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Advanced Studies in Arts & Humanities and Media, Information and Technoculture.

His interdisciplinary academic background provides a strong foundation for analyzing complex legal questions involving law, governance, institutions, communications, technology, and public decision-making.

Throughout his academic career, Hadi received numerous distinctions recognizing scholarly excellence, leadership, and international engagement, including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, multiple Dean’s List honours, the Global Opportunities Award, the International Learning Award, the International Exchange Bursary Award, the SASAH Travel Award, and additional academic scholarships and honours.

His approach to legal practice is analytical, disciplined, and research-driven.
